Jannik Giger

Jannik Giger born 1985 in Basel, lives and works as a composer and video artist in Basel. He completed the Bachelor of Arts in Music and Media Arts at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, the Master of Arts in Composition at the Lucerne School of Music and the Master of Arts in specialized Music Performance at the Basel Conservatory. In 2013 he was awarded from the canton of Solothurn, 2015 he was artist-in-residence of the Landis and Gyr Foundation in London. His works are performed internationally in music, film and art contexts such as the Beijing National Center for Performing Arts, the Swiss Art Awards, the Tonhalle Zurich, the Radialsystem Berlin or the Theater Basel. Giger works together with Ensembles like Mondrian Ensemble, Camerata Bern, Sinfonietta Basel, Ensemble Fractales, Ensemble Mosaik Berlin, Ensemble Phoenix Basel and many more. Jannik Giger is currently working on the music theater perfor-mance «Kolik» with Leo Hoffmann, Benjamin Van Bebber, Sarah Maria Sun and the Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop Berlin.
