Taimashoe

Taimashoe is the experimental musician and performer Gess Zinni. Her music is wide open – and should the Italo-Swiss do need a label, she describes her songs as a compromise between lo-fi gospel, experimental and codeine pop.

As Taimashoe, Gess Zinni puts her guitar driven songs from earlier projects aside and sabotages the songwriter’s idyll with her down-the-rabbit-hole-experimentation-noise-DIY pop and chaos pads, samplers and all kinds of electronic toys.

Taimashoe steals the show by providing a musical frenzy with finely arranged sound collages, which provoke small explosions in the heart and on tympanum.

Whether she is traveling alone or with a band, she always prepares what is going to be served playfully and with the best ingredients. A pinch of Gess Zinni’s wild magic then becomes palpable on stage.

Taimashoe is soulful, is diverse, is rebellious, is accessible and remains ambivalent – and time and again opens up to collective exchange with musicians and artists. In addition to Taimashoe and other bands and formations, Gess also participates in theater productions and performances.
